The Blue Eagles ended its UAAP Season 87 men’s volleyball campaign with an 18-25, 22-25, 26-24, 25-22, 15-12 victory over the Red Warriors, Saturday morning at the Araneta Coliseum.

The Red Warriors, through rookie Raquim Aceron fought back to tie the match at nine, but Jian Salarzon, Kennedy Batas, and Pacinio all came up clutch for the Ateneo win after two hours and 15 minutes.

Pacinio led the Blue Eagles with 18 points while Batas had 17 points, 19 excellent receptions, and six digs. Salarzon chipped in 16 points and 23 receptions while Jettlee Gopio had 11 points built on four blocks.

UE finished the season winless after 14 games. The Red Warriors became the first winless team in the men’s division since they also did it in Season 80.
