MANILA, Philippines – Creamline's journey in the AVC Women's Champions League might have been cut short, but Jema Galanza did not focus on their heartbreaking loss.

The Cool Smashers on Thursday took a smashing hit in the knockout quarterfinal against Thailand's Nakhon Ratchasima, 15-25, 22-25, 16-25, suffering an early exit in the playoffs.

However, Galanza instead focused on the golden opportunity of repping the national flag with the Cool Smashers right here in Pasig and the positives that come with it.

The Adamson University product said she was glad for this chance, and it's something she would "cherish until she gets old."

"Unang-una sa lahat, sobrang happy lang din talaga na makalaro ulit sa international na kasama 'yung Creamline," said Galanza. "Lagi ko siyang dadalhin hanggang sa pagtanda ko."

Galanza called her team the "family" that pushes her to give her best on the taraflex.

"Iba kasi nga kapag kasama mo 'yung family mo sa mga ganitong klaseng laro, 'yung komportable ka, 'yung alam kung paano ka maglaro and alam nila kung paano ilalabas 'yung laro mo," she said.

The Creamline star is already looking forward to the next challenge, in case that comes up -- another AVC tournament, hopefully.

Galanza said she hopes to be better when that time comes.

"'Yung mga losses nga, ganun talaga. Walang perfect. May next time pa. Sana makapag-prepare pa kami nang maayos with imports," she said. "Sa next naming ilalarong AVC, sana hindi lang imports 'yung magagaling. Siyempre, kami rin po at mas makapag-prepare kami."
