MANILA, Philippines โ The Philippines will host stops of the Women's Volleyball Nations League (VNL) in 2026 and 2027, Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) and Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) President Ramon "Tats" Suzara revealed Tuesday.

This comes after the Manila legs of Men's VNL from 2022-24 and upcoming Philippine-hosting of the 2025 FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship in September.

"Although I don't want to announce it as early as now, but for the next two years, 2026 and 2027, the VNL will come back to Manila, but not in Manila, hopefully in Cebu," said the volleyball executive during a press conference at the sidelines of the AVC Women's Champions League at PhilSports Arena.

Suzara bared that they are in talks with a mall giant to be a physical venue โ hopefully it would be the soon-to-rise SM Seaside Arena.

He clarified that the Philippines won't have a slot in the Women's VNL by virtue of hosting, as top 16 squads on the planet are set to join the prestigious event.

It's already a busy year for volleyball for Asia as the continent hosts more tournaments this year: FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship in Thailand, FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship in Manila, FIVB Volleyball Womenโs U21 World Championship in Surabaya, Indonesia, FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship in China, Uzbekistan FIVB Boys' U19 World Championship, and Beach Volleyball World Championships Adelaide.
