MANILA, Philippines – Philippine volleyball squad Creamline will proceed to the quarterfinals of the AVC Women's Champions League.

This, as Kazakhstan's Zhetysu VC eliminated Jordan team Al Naser from contention in Pool A, 25-10, 25-15, 25-11, on Tuesday at PhilSports Arena in Pasig.

The Kazakhs rendered the Jordan club winless at 0-2 while clinching a quarterfinal berth for themselves by sweeping the group phase, 2-0.

The Cool Smashers earlier stole a win from Al Naser, 29-27, 25-20, 25-19, which proved to be enough to propel them to the next round.

On Monday, they absorbed a 16-25, 17-25, 17-25 loss at the hands of Zhetysu, concluding Pool A phase with a 1-1 win-loss card.

Creamline captain Alyssa Valdez hopes the team would jell better alongside their three imports before their upcoming quarterfinal match.

"May training din kami tomorrow [today], may two days pa kami before playing our next game. Hopefully, makuha namin, and makapag-adjust kami, and para mas maganda 'yung chemistry at mas solid 'yung team," Valdez said.

Creamline will face either Thailand's Nakhon Ratchasima or the Philippines' PLDT High Speed Hitters, depending on the result of their Pool D action on Tuesday.

The High Speed Hitters though are assured of a quarterfinal spot regardless of the result of their encounter with the Thai club.
