This was the promise of Creamline mainstays Jema Galanza and Bernadeth Pons, who towed the team to an exhilarating five-set escape of Petro Gazz on Thursday, 25-15, 16-25, 25-21, 15-25, 15-9, at the Araneta Coliseum.

For Pons, they will play like there's no tomorrow. She's not wrong though — it will be literally the last day of the conference.

"All out talaga kami sa Saturday. Kasi, last na eh, wala nang bukas. So ‘yun na ‘yun, todo na talaga. All out, all heart. Ilalaban talaga namin kasi pinush na namin ‘to eh," said Pons.

The "MVPons" gave her all on the taraflex, delivering 22 points including 12 excellent receptions and nine excellent digs.

Galanza said they do not want to put all their efforts and learned lessons in the long conference to waste.

"Siguro, isipin na lang namin sa haba ng season, sa dami ng challenges na nangyari sa 'min, ayaw na lang namin masayang 'yung pagod, ginawa namin sa haba ng [conference]," Galanza said.

"Last game na, io-all out na namin, bigay na namin lahat ng lakas na kaya naming ibigay," Galanza added.

The reigning All-Filipino Conference Finals MVP chipped in 13 points, including some clutch hits late in Set 5 as well as the game-winning ace to put the Angels to sleep.

The Cool Smashers will be taking on the Angels for the last time this conference on Saturday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig. First serve is scheduled at 7 p.m.
