MANILA, Philippines – PLDT star Savi Davison was at a loss for words as the High Speed Hitters absorbed a heartbreaking quarterfinals defeat against Choco Mucho in the 2024-25 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference.

Both games were decided by just a couple of points, and Davison knows it.

"Parang no words," said Davison as she reflected on their disappointing run. "It was a long [conference] and we just got, I guess, the tougher bracket. But we’re not here to complain, we’re here to play. 'Yun lang. It boils down to the last couple of points and they just weren’t in our favor. 'Yun lang," she said.

She erupted for a game-high 34 points and 13 excellent digs, to no avail as they were shown the door.

But fortunately, they have one more stage to conquer, and it's an international tiff.

PLDT was given a slot in the AVC Women's Volleyball Champions League by virtue of being number four seed in the All-Filipino tilt, advancing to the quarters.

And for Davison, the opportunity is something to look forward to after recovering.

"It helps because now, we get to look forward to something else, I guess, maybe after a couple of days off," Davison said.

"It’s a very big tournament. It’s international. It gives us an opportunity to show our talents on a different platform and that’s a really good experience to look forward to," she added.

"Hopefully, we learn from this and we show up come the AVC."
