The UAAP Board of Managing Directors confirmed this after the Lady Bulldogs star withdrew her application for the 2025 Korean V-League (KOVO) Asian Quota Draft.

“While the BMD noted that Solomon did apply and was included in the draft list of the 2025 Korean Volleyball Federation Asian Quota Draft, her subsequent action in immediately withdrawing her application allowed her to continue competing in the ongoing UAAP Season,” the league said in a statement.

“The UAAP remains committed to ensuring the integrity of its competitions and the welfare of its student-athletes,” it added.

Solomon was on the official list of draftees which was released last March 6, and she confirmed it three days later after their victory against University of the Philippines.

Last week, however, multiple reports pointed out how Solomon withdrew from the draft as it goes against the rule of the UAAP that prevents players from playing, joining the pools, entering the drafting process, and other related matters that concern professional and commercial teams.

Solomon and NU played last Sunday and won against University of Santo Tomas in five sets, and she and her head coach Sherwin Meneses politely begged off from commenting on the said development.

Solomon and the Lady Bulldogs return to action on Sunday, March 23, when they face De La Salle University to open their Round 2 campaign.
