MANILA, Philippines – Creamline mentor Sherwin Meneses reached a milestone Tuesday as he notched his 100th win as head coach in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).

Meneses, 42, who entered the league since 2022, had already a decorated coaching career, having won the PVL Grand Slam last year and leading the Cool Smashers to their 10th title.

He steered Creamline to seven of its 10 championships.

"Ayun, masaya at na-achieve 'yung 100 [win]," the shot-caller expressed in joy after taking Game 1 against Chery Tiggo in the quarterfinals at the PhilSports Arena.

Seemingly not satisfied even after his latest feat, Meneses wishes for more wins, especially in their title-retention bid in the ongoing 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference.

"Pero sana, mas marami pang panalo na dumating, especially this season, this conference na madagdagan 'yung panalo pa, especially sa mga next games namin," Meneses said.

He won his first PVL title in the 2022 Open Conference.

Valdez, asked for her reaction to Meneses' newest milestone, said the record speaks for itself.

The Creamline star said she's "blessed" to experience Meneses' leadership.

"Grabe Coach Sherwin, I'm with Coach Sherwin since Ateneo, other teams. We've been together for so long, it's just so nice na magkasama kami na na-achieve ni Coach Sherwin yung mga ganitong milestone," Valdez said.

"These kinds of milestones also secured or polished also gaano siya katibay o gaano siya ka-effective as a coach. I'm just very grateful and blessed to be under his mentorship as well."
