MANILA -- Chery Tiggo is through to the quarterfinals of the 2025 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference after fending off a gutsy Farm Fresh squad on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

The Crossovers shrugged off a second set letdown for a 29-27, 15-25, 25-22, 25-21 triumph in their play-in match.

They finished the play-in with a 2-0 record, having swept the Nxled Chameleons last Thursday. With the result, Thursday's match between Farm Fresh and Nxled is now a no-bearing affair.

Veteran spiker Ara Galang earned Player of the Game honors after putting up 20 points on 16 kills, three blocks, and an ace. Shaya Adorador added 18 points, including the last two of the match.

"Sobrang importante po na naranasan namin ‘tong dikdikan talaga. Nakita namin sa NXLED and sa Farm Fresh na gusto rin talaga nilang manalo," said Adorador afterward.

"Dito rin namin nakita na yung team namin, talagang hindi kami nagpatalo sa mga dikdikan na score-an at balikan ng bola kasi yun yung pinaka-importante. Nakita namin yung team namin na tine-test talaga kami sa ganung situations," she added.

The Foxies failed to sustain their momentum after a comfortable win in Set 2, and couldn't complete a last-ditch rally in the fourth frame. Adorador's block of Trisha Tubu put Chery Tiggo at match point, and she finished off Farm Fresh with an off-the-block hit.

It marked the end of the road for a Farm Fresh squad that went 5-6 in the preliminary round.

Tubu had 22 points, while Jolina dela Cruz, Rizza Cruz, and Lorene Toring each contributed 12 points.

Both teams scored 61 points off their kills, but Chery Tiggo's net defense made the difference as they had a 10-5 advantage on blocks.

The Crossovers now advance to play top-seeded Creamline in the quarterfinals.
