MANILA, Philippines – Rookie Ishie Lalongisip propelled Cignal past Zus Coffee, 25-18, 25-22, 21-25, 25-11, in the 2024-25 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference on Thursday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

After she was named PVL Press Corps Player of the Week just this Sunday, Lalongisip tallied her best output by far, dropping a career-high 20 points on 18 attacks and two aces to help the HD Spikers silence the Thunderbelles.

"'Yung motivation ko naman po every game is iniisip ko lang 'yung pinagtatrabahuhan namin sa training kasi ayoko rin sayangin 'yung pagod and sacrifice ng bawat isa lalo na teammates ko, kasi nakikita ko rin sila nagwo-work hard every day para makuha 'yung mga panalo," the pride of Adamson University said during the postgame press conference.

"Bali kumukuha lang din talaga ako ng lakas sa teammates ko," she added.

Leading by two sets, Shaq delos Santos' wards though had to overcome a Set 3 blip to register their seventh win in 10 games.

The HD Spikers sealed the triumph dominantly with an 11-2 finishing kick in the fourth canto—notably, an unusual showing for the Thunderbelles compared to the earlier frames, where the latter managed to be within striking distance.

Jackie Acuna and Vanie Gandler completed the supporting cast by breaching double-digit scoring and nabbed 17 and 14 points, respectively.

Meanwhile, veteran Jov Gonzaga's efforts on the other side went down the drain after the loss. She collected 14 markers, all from attacks.
