The Cool Smashers, after accepting a nod at the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Awards Night on Monday at The Manila Hotel, reminded the league who they are by thwarting cellar dweller Nxled in straight sets, 25-12, 25-21, 25-19, in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference, Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

This marked the defending champions' sixth straight win in as many matches in the ongoing tourney, securing the top spot of the rankings with 17 points, while the Chameleons remained luckless in eight games.

In a fitting finish, Creamline closed out the volleyball clinic with a 10-1 run in Set 3, overturning a 15-18 deficit, capped by a powerful attack by Tots Carlos in the middle.
