MANILA, Philippines – The Cignal HD Spikers have already set their sights on their future without Riri Meneses and Ces Molina.

Star spiker Vanie Gandler said Tuesday that they are "not dwelling" on the development that transpired during the holiday break, seeing their erstwhile mainstays exit Cignal.

The HD Spikers started the year right, tallying their first victory in 2025 at Galeries' expense, 25-17, 25-20, 25-19, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

"We just didn’t dwell on that," said Gandler when asked about their key players' departure.

"I think the only way to improve is to accept the challenges. So we just accepted the challenges that we will face with no pressure. Kasi, we trained for this; everyone trained for this," Gandler said.

The former Ateneo standout was quick to step up as she logged 17 points anchored on 13 attacks, three aces, and a block—the only player on the court who breached twin-digit territory.

"It’s challenging, of course, but then I’m not alone. I have the whole team, we have Ishie who can really step up," said Gandler as she acknowledged Ishie Lalongisip's efforts.

It was also—as expected—Alas Pilipinas skipper Dawn Macandili-Catindig who took the reins from former captain Molina.
