MANILA, Philippines – Farm Fresh made it two wins in a row, thanks to the remarkable performances of spiker Trisha Tubu.

After leading the Foxies to a stunning triumph over Akari, Tubu powered her team anew, this time against sister team Zus Coffee, 26-24, 13-25, 25-21, 25-19, in the 2024-25 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference on Thursday at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

The Foxies also snapped the Thunderbelles' hot streak after their victory.

The 24-year-old pride of Adamson University, who stuffed the stats sheet with 28 points built on 27 attacks and a block, said she wants to improve further, seeking ways to contribute to the squad.

"Actually, everyday talaga hinahanapan ko ‘yung sarili ko talaga ng progress so ‘yun po. Thankfully, nakakapag-contribute ako sa team kaya alam ko marami pang kulang so wino-work on ko araw-araw," said Tubu.

"Lahat ng lapses namin, inaayos kaagad sa training. Meron pa mga konti, pero wino-work pa po namin para sa mga next game, hindi na mangyari," she also said.

Tubu was also named PVL Press Corps Player of the Week recently after her heroics against the Chargers.

Alyssa Bertolano also had an all-around performance, scoring 12 markers while protecting the ball from falling on their side, listing 12 excellent digs and 12 excellent receptions.

The Farm Fresh side overcame a Set 2 blip, regaining their ways in the next frames.

With the Foxies holding a 2-1 set lead and a 23-16 cushion in Set 4, top rookie Thea Gagate still stood her ground, scoring on an attack and a block to to keep her team alive.

But Thunderbelles' Sharya Ancheta suffered an unfortunate service error to give her rivals match point amid those Gagate points, as Tubu was able to finally drop the curtains after a combination play.

Gagate lived up to her billing, pacing the sliding Zus Coffee side with 16 points.
