MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – Petro Gazz star Brooke Van Sickle had a triumphant homecoming in Ilocos Sur.

Van Sickle, who traces her Filipino roots from San Emilio in the same province, powered the Gazz Angels against Farm Fresh, 25-21, 25-17, 25-19, in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Saturday at the Candon City Arena.

It was a bounce-back win for the reigning MVP and company after absorbing a straight-set loss exactly a week ago against Creamline.

Van Sickle fired 20 points on 19 attacks and an ace, showing the way for the Gazz Angels.

"Finally, to be able to play here, it was just a fulfilling moment," Van Sickle said after an electrifying performance against the struggling Foxies.

"It adds more motivation for me," the Fil-American spiker added. "Now, I know this place, I know how beautiful it is, the people too; to be able to finally make that connection is really huge for me. I'm very, very grateful."

Starting spiker Jonah Sabete did not play due to a strained left calf. Myla Pablo filled the hole, logging 11 points, while Aiza Maizo-Pontillas added 10 markers, the game-clinching kill included.

After a long break, Petro Gazz eyes for a third win against Akari on December 5 at the Araneta Coliseum.

Meanwhile, Farm Fresh has yet to enter the win column after two games. The Foxies will try to win versus Akari on November 30 at the PhilSports Arena.
