I felt all the positivity and the energy that they gave me. It was such a pleasure to play in front of them. They made me feel like I was home. So lucky,” Eala said.</p><p>She continued to make waves in the tennis world, just months after the southpaw defeated former Grand Slam champions Jelena Ostapenko, Madison Keys, and Iga Swiatek.</p><p>But the 20-year-old Eala knows she still has a lot to learn, specifically her weapons inside the court.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/sports/othersports/2025/8/25/alex-eala-over-the-moon-after-bagging-historic-first-at-us-open-0905"><strong>READ: Alex Eala &#x27;over the moon&#x27; after bagging historic first at US Open<br/></strong></a></div><p>“The takeaway is to never give up. That’s always the mindset in every match, and that’s why I was able to produce such a comeback. It doesn’t always work, but you need to have that mentality,” she explained.</p><p>“She was very smart and used her weapons well.
