<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1752749084328davis cup.jpg" style="width:950px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><br/></div><p>The Philippine Men’s Davis Cup Team continue their flawless run at the Davis Cup Group IV Asia/Oceania zone at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Thursday.</p><div><br/></div><p>The team beat Kuwait, 3-0, winning both singles and doubles matches.</p><p>Players AJ Lim, Jed Olivarez, Niño Alcantara, Iggy Pantino, Ruben Gonzales and coaches Joseph Lizardo and Johnny Arcilla form the national team.</p><p>In singles, Olivarez’s match against Ali Ashanti reached a deciding set, 7-5, 4-6, 6-0, won by the Philippines.</p><p>The first set was a close one lasting an hour under the hot and humid conditions. But Olivarez surged ahead convincingly in the deciding set.</p><p>Lim then bested Bader Alabdullah in strong straight sets, 6-4, 6-1.</p><p>In the doubles match, Niño Alcantara and Iggy Pantino led, 2-1, in the first set when the opponents retired.</p><p>The next tie will be vs Qatar on Friday.</p>
