EL NIDO, Palawan -- Filipino-Australian cliff diver Xantheia Pennisi hopes to see plenty of viewers on Sunday when the El Nido leg of the 2025 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series wraps up at the Big Lagoon.

Pennisi, 26, is still in the hunt after the first two rounds, having compiled 112.00 points for seventh place.

"I'm really happy with my first dive, but unfortunately today, it didn't go as planned," Pennisi told reporters after Saturday's dive at the Small Lagoon. "I did a big splash, which the judges want to see clean, no splash."

Pennisi had gone for a more difficult dive on Saturday, with her attempt registering a 3.4 difficulty. However, her execution wasn't the best, and judges gave her three 5.5 scores for her attempt.

The Fil-Australian is trailing a host of contenders including eight-time defending champion Rhiannan Iffland of Australia and promising Ukrainian Nelli Chukanivska, but Pennisi is confident that she can put on a show on the final day.

With the El Nido leg coming to a close, Pennisi is looking forward to performing in front of more people -- including her own family. While her relatives watched Day 1 on Friday at the Lagen Island, they could not head inside the Small Lagoon.
