MANILA -- Twenty-four players -- including three newcomers -- have been called up by Mark Torcaso for a training camp in Dubai next month.

Captain Hali Long and veterans Olivia McDaniel, Angela Beard, Katrina Guillou and Sara Eggesvik headline the 24-player pool of the Philippine women's national football team unveiled on Tuesday night.

Also in the roster is Aston Villa's Maz Pacheco, who has been called up to the national team for the second time.

The newcomers are Madison Ayson, Aliana Weibel and Paige McSwigan. McSwigan plays for University of North Florida, while Weibel is a commit of Kent State Soccer. Meanwhile, Ayson plays for Canberra United in the A-League in Australia.

Notably missing from the roster are World Cup goal-scorer Sarina Bolden and midfielder Jackie Sawicki.

The camp will be highlighted by friendlies against the United Arab Emirates on April 4 and April 8.

UAE is ranked 112th in the world by FIFA, while the Filipinas are currently at 41st.

The training camp is another step forward for the squad, which will defend its title in the MSIG Serenity Cup this year while also competing in the Asian Cup qualifiers and the Southeast Asian Games.
