History was made on Tuesday as the Philippines finally made it to the the World Lacrosse Women's Championship.

The Philippines women's national lacrosse team has qualified in the prestigious contest for the first time ever after it dominated Hong Kong today, 14-2, and China yesterday, 15-3, in back-to-back games at the 2025 Asia-Pacific Women’s Lacrosse Championship held in Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia.

The Filipinas led from the get-go against Hong Kong, ensuring a one-sided affair against their regional neighbors in the north.

Notably, the currently unranked Pinoy team has defeated squads on the world rankings, with Hong Kong being placed at 16th and China at #19.

They will join Chinese Taipei and Australia which earlier gained seats at the women's championship, set to take place in Tokyo, Japan next year.
