MANILA -- Premier officials of Philippine sports will pay their tribute to all achievers of the year 2024 when they join in the celebration of the Philippine Sportswriters Association Awards Night on Monday at the Manila Hotel.

Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman Richard Bachmann will team up with Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) President Abraham ‘Bambol’ Tolentino as they lead the local sports community in cheering the athletes, officials, and other individuals who made the year just passed truly a memorable one behind their respective exploits.

International Olympic Committee (IOC) representative Mikee Cojuangco-Jaworski and Senator Bong Go, chairperson of the Senate Committee on Youth and Sports, are also expected to lend their hands in the traditional gala night highlighting the best of Philippine sports.

Invitations were also extended to two of the country’s top sports patrons in SMC President and Chief Executive Officer Ramon S. Ang and Metro Pacific Investments Corporation Chairman and President Manny V. Pangilinan.

Wharton Chan, and other high-ranking officers of the country’s Olympic body have also been invited together with leaders of the various National Sports Associations (NSAs) — PBA Chairman Ricky Vargas, PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial, San Miguel Corporation Sports Director Alfrancis Chua, PVL President Ricky Palou, among others.
