In an intense clash marred by near-skirmishes, the 10-man Tamaraws emerged triumphant after Absalon capitalized on a defensive lapse by UP's Charles Lobitaña and goalkeeper Alfonzo Gonzales in the 76th minute.

The Tamaraws are now headed to their third straight Finals, where they are targeting a 12th UAAP championship. The one-match championship is set for Sunday at the same historic Malate venue.

"Well, it's a very good feeling. It was a tough match, a very emotional match. We played the whole second half with all our best players fighting like warriors, so I don't even have to describe the feelings. So happy, but now we have a final to prepare for next weekend," said Oliver.
