Handout/ONE ChampionshipMANILA -- The highly-anticipated ONE Lightweight MMA World Title showdown between Christian Lee and Alibeg Rasulov in the main event of ONE Fight Night 26 ended in a no-contest, Saturday at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

An inadvertent eye poke in the second round forced an unexpected halt to the action between Lee, the two-division champion, and his unbeaten challenger. 

Lee had showcased his striking and speed in the opening round, before Rasulov began to counter in the second through his overhand right. 

Unfortunately, Lee's finger caught Rasulov's left eye during a standoff in a corner. The Turkish athlete was examined by the ringside physician during an injury timeout, where he was deemed unable to continue.

The bout was ruled a no-contest.

In the evening's second World Title match, ONE Women's Atomweight Submission Grappling World Champion Mayssa Bastos went the distance with American rival Danielle Kelly to retain her gold by unanimous decision.

Bastos and Kelly put on a display of elite grappling from beginning to end, as they showcased high-level technique and often negated each other's attacks.

Just before time expired, the Brazilian star scored the only catch of the contest with a deep toe hold submission attempt and earned the nod on the judges' scorecards.
