The Philippine men's national football team has a chance to reach unprecedented heights on Monday, when they play Thailand again in the second leg of the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup semifinals.

The Filipinos have the momentum after their stunning 2-1 triumph last Friday night at the Rizal Memorial Stadium, which put them on the precipice of a first-ever finals appearance in the ASEAN Championship.

They expect to be tested once more by the holders at the Rajamangala Stadium, but Albert Capellas' men will head into the match with plenty of confidence.

"We know that we can make it difficult for Thailand. We have work today, we have to make some adjustments. We will try to get to the finals," the coach said ahead of the game.

"We believe in us, we are not done yet. The job's not done. We are here to make history for our country," added defender Michael Kempter.

The Filipinos are tipped to welcome back Amani Aguinaldo, after his suspension for the first leg.
