MANILA -- The Paper Rex train came to a halt at the hands of Rex Regum Qeon, after the squads went the distance in the best-of-five lower bracket finals of the VCT Pacific 2025 Stage 1.

Paper Rex's Cinderella run is over after overcoming a rough 0-3 start in the bracket matches, clinching the last playoff slot, and taking down big teams to clinch the last VALORANT Masters Toronto slot.

It was a tough battle for both teams where PRX took maps with a large margin while RRQ nabbed their series points in overtime.

In the end, RRQ managed to pull away with the series in Ascent, taking the driver's seat in the first half at 9-3. PRX took the pistol, the anti-eco, and one more round to keep them alive, but RRQ managed to put the nail in the coffin and emerge victorious at 6-13.

RRQ will meet with Korean squad Gen.G after being put down in the upper bracket finals and hopes to take revenge.

PRX will end their Stage 1 campaign and start preparing for their return to the global stage in Masters Toronto on June 22.
