MANILA -- The losses continue for squads featuring Filipino players on Week 3 of the VCT Pacific Stage 1 after facing tough assignments in two top Korean teams.

Pinoy-laden Global Esports absorbed its second loss against Pacific Kickoff winner DRX in a 0-2 sweep, while all-Filipino squad Team Secret continued their losing streak at the hands of VALORANT Masters Bangkok champions T1 in a 1-2 series.

A day before, Pinoy tier 1 rookie Patrick "PatMen" Mendoza made an impressive debut with Paper Rex against BOOM Esports, but the W Gaming squad fell to the undefeated Ascension squad, 1-2.

Ahead of GE's match with DRX, head coach Preston "Juv3nile" Dornon was slapped with a 12-month suspension after an investigation of potential breaches of the Riot Esports' Global Code of Conduct.

Assistant coach Donnie "Elevated" Chell with sixth man Derrick "Deryeon" Yee sat in the coaches' booth during the match.

In Ascent, DRX dominated on their map pick, limiting GE to only 3 rounds for the whole match, concluding in 3-13.

Split was initially in GE's favor, winning five consecutive rounds before DRX caught up to end the half at 6-6.

GE won the pistol and anti-eco round in the second half, but DRX eventually overtook the lead and ran away with the map and series win at 10-13.

Meanwhile, Team Secret also received a beating from T1 in the first map, Haven. The Adobo Gang only managed 4 rounds in the first half and 2 rounds in the second half, concluding in a 6-13 score.

Secret retaliated in their signature map, Icebox. T1 sought to catch up during the second half, but Secret stopped the champs in their tracks with 13-9 and extended the series to the decider.

Lotus looked to be Secret's map as they led in the first half at 7-5. But as the teams switched sides, T1 never looked back and stopped Secret's comeback to conclude the map at 8-13.

Despite the loss, GE remains in fourth place in Group Alpha, but they will need to win their remaining games to hold on to their playoff chances.

Meanwhile, Secret remains winless and in the bottom of Group Omega. They will need to win their remaining games and depend on the results of other teams to get a slot for playoffs.

GE will face off with Gen.G on April 13 while Secret will face Ascension winners Nongshim RedForce on April 12.
