Filipino-laden squad Global Esports is at risk of losing their hold on the fourth playoff slot in Group Alpha after dropping another match at the hands of Gen.G.

The Masters Shanghai champions locked in their playoff spot as they defeated GE via a 2-0 sweep.

Prior to the match, Pinoy duelist Mark "patrickWHO" Musni sat out in favor of Derrick "Deryeon" Yee, seeing action in Stage 1 for the first time.

In Haven, Gen.G took full control of the map, limiting GE to only four rounds spread throughout the first half. The Tiger Nation continued to dominate in the second half and allowed GE only one round to conclude in 5-13.

Pearl saw Gen.G not letting up as they won six straight rounds before GE put up a score on the board. The half would end with another 4-8 scoreline in favor of the Korean squad. 

The GE squad initially opened the second half with the pistol and anti-eco rounds, but Gen.G resumed their streak and gave their opponents one more round before concluding the map and series at 7-13.

GE will need to win their last match or they give up their playoff spot to Paper Rex who are seeking their first win in Stage 1. 

GE and PRX will face off on April 19.
