MANILA -- The Pinoy-laden Global Esports opens the VCT Pacific Stage 1 with a revenge win against DetonatioN FocusMe at 2-0.

The emerging Japanese squad previously dropped GE in the Kickoff tournament in the lower bracket with a 2-0 sweep, ending the Indian organization's run to qualify for VALORANT Masters Bangkok.

This time, GE turned the tables on DFM by taking the two maps in the series, dominating Lotus at 13-7 and denying the comeback attempt in Pearl at 13-11.

Pinoy in-game leader Kelly "KellyS" Sedillo received the series MVP honors with 35 kills, 30 deaths, and 23 assists.

Mark "patrickWHO" Musni also made his long-awaited debut in the VCT Pacific stage after being sidelined in the Kickoff tournament due to a Korean visa denial.

Despite being disappointed with his performance as mentioned in his post-game interview, the Pinoy duelist was the leader in first kills in the series at 13 and the closer in Pearl as he denied the DFM comeback and map overtime by dealing four kills in the concluding round.

GE will have a long break before facing the Ascension squad BOOM Esports on March 31.
