T1 celebrates after winning the lower bracket finals of the VALORANT Masters Bangkok against EDward Gaming on March 1, 2025. The VCT Pacific's second seed knocked down the reigning VCT champs, 3-1, booking the second grand finals berth after G2. Mark Demayo, ABS-CBN NewsBANGKOK — In a major upset, T1 brought down the reigning VALORANT Champions Tour kings EDward Gaming in four maps, 3-1, in the lower bracket finals of the VALORANT Masters: Bangkok.

The lone second seed remaining in the tournament took revenge against EDG after being knocked to the lower bracket during the playoff stage.

In EDG's map pick, Bind, T1 went on a seven round win streak before the champs put a round on the board, including a first-round ace by Kim "Meteor" Tae-o.

EDG managed to get two more rounds in the first half and the pistol round in the second half before T1 ran away with a 13-4 score line.

Haven looked like EDG's map to win after ending the first half at 8-4, but T1 mounted a major comeback to end the series at 13-10.

Fracture was a hard fought win for the reigning champs after denying the series sweep as T1 was on match point and taking the overtime win, 14-12.

The Korean super team did not extend the series further as they dominate EDG in Split, not allowing the champs to take the lead in the first half at 7-5 and left them winless in the second half and wrapping up the map and series at 13-5.

Sophomore Ham "iZu" Woo-Joo earns the MVP honors for the game 71 kills, 46 deaths, 12 assists.

T1 will now battle the VCT Americas first seed G2 in the grand finals to determine the first Masters champion for the 2025 season.
