MANILA, Philippines – Players from Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) world champion squad ONIC Philippines have renewed their Games and Amusements Board (GAB) professional esports licenses.

GAB, a government-ran regulatory body of professional sports in the country, announced the development Tuesday night in a social media post.

In the same post, the M6 world champions posed for a photo with GAB Chairman Atty. Francisco J. Rivera, which added a special message, saying: "𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒖𝒓𝒏 𝒃𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕, 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒔!"

The Philippines started considering esports as a legimate sport in 2017, when GAB, an office under the Office of the President, allowed professional esports players to secure athletic licenses.

The Super Family earned their breakthrough when they dominantly secured the Philippines' sixth M-series title in the M6 World Championship, defeating Indonesia's Team Liquid ID in the grand finals 4-1.
