Competing in Group C, AK only managed a 2-0 win against Saudi Arabia's Raef "Raef" Alturkistani, while losing a 1-2 set to Korea's Yoon "LowHigh" Sun-woong in a nail-biting match.

The Shaheen main also lost 0-2 sets to another Korean, Jeong "Rangchu" Hyeon-ho, a former Tekken World Tour Finals champion in 2018, and to hometown hero Shoji "double" Takakubo.
