MANILA – For Rain or Shine head coach Yeng Guiao, it&#x27;s only fitting that the Elasto Painters honor Gabe Norwood by immortalizing his No. 5 jersey. During Norwood&#x27;s last flight in the PBA in December, Guiao paid tribute to the decorated swingman for his career that spanned 17 years.  Rain or Shine on Monday announced it will retire Norwood&#x27;s jersey at halftime of the team&#x27;s game against the Converge FiberXers on Friday.  <div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/sports/basketball/2025/10/9/-one-la5t-flight-gabe-norwood-to-retire-after-pba-season-50-ph-cup-1403">READ: Rain or Shine&#x27;s Gabe Norwood to retire after PBA Season 50 PH Cup</a></div>&quot;A player who defined an era. Not just because he&#x27;s a great basketball player but because he&#x27;s a great human being,&quot; he said. Rain or Shine is heading into Friday&#x27;s game with a 5-0 slate, their best conference start in franchise history.
