At na-retire po yung jersey ko dito sa Talk &#x27;N Text,&quot; De Ocampo added.The 44-year-old played for the Talk &#x27;N Text Tropang Texters from 2008 to 2017, winning six PBA championships along the way.De Ocampo&#x27;s individual awards include Best Player of the Conference in the 2014 Governors Cup, two Finals MVP honors, and nine PBA All-Star selections.He was also named to the Mythical First Team three times from 2012 to 2014.Before suiting up for TNT, De Ocampo was selected fourth overall by the FedEx Express in the 2004 PBA Draft.He spent four years with FedEx and later Air21 before being shipped to the Tropang Texters in exchange for Don Allado in 2008.Aside from the TNT colors, De Ocampo also donned the tri-colors for Gilas Pilipinas.He played a key role in Gilas&#x27; qualification to the 2014 FIBA World Cup after finishing runner-up in the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship in Manila.For De Ocampo, being able to represent the Philippines, especially on the international stage, was one for the books.&quot;Isa pang pagiging proud ko yung walang sawa kong pagsisilbi sa bayan nung ako po ay naglalaro pa ng basketball. Kagaya ngayon kung kaya ko pa maglaro, maglalaro pa ako sa Gilas Pilipinas. Ganun ko po kamahal ang ating bansa,&quot; De Ocampo jokingly said.&quot;Patuloy po natin suportahan yung PBA at mahalin po natin yung sports sa Pilipinas,&quot; he added.De Ocampo&#x27;s Gilas teammates Jayson Castro and Japeth Aguilar, as well as his Air21 compatriots Gary David and Marc Pingris, had video messages celebrating the milestone.He joins an elite club in the TNT franchise, being only the third player to have his jersey retired, along with Jimmy Alapag and Harvey Carey.
