Whether it's vs. JMF or Japeth, TNT's Ganuelas-Rosser eager to show out in 1st PBA Finals

Finally healthy after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear last year, Ganuelas-Rosser will make his Finals debut in the Season 49 Philippine Cup as TNT looks to complete the ever-elusive Grand Slam.

“I’m excited. I had to watch two Finals already, but now, to be a part of it, I’m just excited,” said the bruising big who posted 17 points, five rebounds, three blocks, and two assists in their semifinals Game 6 win on Sunday.

“It feels good to finally be contributing. I was on the sidelines for so long, but to actually be out there and playing, it’s so special. It’s a special group, so any part, big or little, I’m just grateful,” he added.

However, while Ganuelas-Rosser is raring to impose his will, this time in the Finals, he understands that the road is only getting harder for the Tropang 5G.

“I have a lot of work to do, still,” he maintained. “So I just need to keep on pushing. It’s just fighting through adversity, but whatever happens in the Finals, I'm just excited.”

TNT will be facing the winner between the San Miguel Beermen and Barangay Ginebra San Miguel series which concludes on Wednesday, meaning that Ganuelas-Rosser will face either veteran stars June Mar Fajardo or Japeth Aguilar.

But for the big man, whether it's the 8-time MVP Fajardo or the 8-time PBA titlist Aguilar, his focus is preparing himself in banging bodies against the two Gilas Pilipinas mainstays.

“Not one player can stop those guys,” he said. “It’s gonna take a collective effort, but It’s gonna be exciting to go up against those guys.”

Game 1 of the PBA Finals will open on Sunday, July 13, at 7:30 p.m..
