The 6-foot-6, do-it-all forward from Muntinlupa City, who is currently in Sacramento, was left out of the Sacramento Kings’ roster for the NBA 2K26 Summer League roster which they unveiled on Monday.

Quiambao, who is officially signed with the Goyang Sono Skygunners, averaged 16.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.3 steals in 23 games in his rookie year in the Korean Basketball League.

Unfortunately, the former De La Salle University superstar, who recently signed a three-year extension with Goyang, will have to stay patient and focus on further training as of present.

The Kings opted to field a roster that is highlighted by their 2025 NBA Draft selections Nique Clifford and Maxime Raynaud, incoming 2nd-year player Devin Carter, and 2025 G League champions Isaac Jones and Isaiah Crawford.

“‘Di ko alam pa kung anong future naka-handa sa akin. Basta ako, right now, I’m working as hard as I can,” Quiambao said in a previous interview.

“Super positive ako. All for gain naman eh, nothing to lose ako. If ever walang makuhang opportunity, balik ako sa Korea,” he added.

The NBA Summer League runs from July 10 to 20 next week in Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, Quiambao is expected to turn his focus on his upcoming Gilas Pilipinas stint for their 2025 FIBA Asia Cup campaign in August.
