MANILA, Philippines – Grand slam-seeking TNT claimed its first back-to-back wins in the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup by tearing down Terrafirma, 110-74, on Friday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

It was a 36-point beating for the Tropang 5G as they seek to build momentum after letting their guards down in their first three games.

They improved to a 2-3 win-loss card, while the Dyip have fallen five times in a row, dropping to 1-5.

"We know this is going to be a very tough conference, tight race. But our objective coming to this ballgame was just to make sure that we beat Terrafirma with our effort and our energy," said coach Chot Reyes after the game.

Calvin Oftana lit things up with 22 points on 9-of-15 clip, Poy Erram delivered 19 points, while Rey Nambatac had a decent 12-point showing.

The Tropang 5G never let the Dyip take the lead in the 48-minute bout, in a match where they even led by as much as 46.

Louie Sangalang and Mark Nonoy top-scored for the free-falling Dyip with 16 points each.

TNT hopes to stay on track against Meralco on Sunday, May 11, while Terrafirma eyes a return to the win column versus NLEX on Wednesday, May 14.

Both games are at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in the nation's capital.
