The former Ateneo de Manila University standout shared at the sidelines of the NBA Rising Stars Invitational Philippine Qualifiers at the Araneta Coliseum how happy he is to see his former college rivals shine, as well as other Filipino imports in the Korean tournament.

In the KBL, it was Cagulangan and the Suwon KT Sonicboom who ousted them in the quarterfinals, as the Daegu Kogas Pegasus fell short in the best-of-five series that was pushed up to a do-or-die Game 5.

"It’s a fun series. As we all know, we went to Game 5, either way, same nung nangyari nung college namin, both teams deserving manalo, at the same time, ayun, they made a good shot at the end," Belangel said.
