MANILA -- The Meralco Bolts leaned on a balanced offensive outing to overwhelm the TerraFirma Dyip, 118-80, in the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup on Sunday evening at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

There was no need for Chris Newsome's heroics this time around, as six players scored in double-digits for the Bolts led by CJ Cansino's 19 markers.

Kurt Reyson added 16 and Bong Quinto had 13 off the bench for Meralco, which shot a blistering 56.8% from the field and made five four-point field goals in the game.

The Bolts surged to a 30-16 advantage after the opening frame and never looked back. They led by as many as 42 points, 107-65, off an Anjo Caram jumper with under seven minutes to play.

The Meralco bench came up big, contributing 89 points. The Bolts also scored 32 points off TerraFirma's 19 turnovers. 

Meralco is now 2-0 in the conference, while TerraFirma dropped to 1-1 as they failed to build on their win over Phoenix last week.

Mark Sangalang led the Dyip with 23 points, while Stanley Pringle and Aljun Melecio each contributed 11 markers.
