MANILA, Philippines – PBA announced Friday that it will be reducing ticket prices for some sections in its Philippine Cup games on Wednesday, April 9.

Fans could avail seats at the lower box for only P50, and P30 for the general admission section as the league celebrates its 50th anniversary.

It will feature Magnolia and Converge in the first game, while the double-header concludes with a rematch between defending champion Meralco and San Miguel.

The PBA said there's a plan to have the Beermen and the Bolts wear their respective retro jerseys.

They will also hand out special token anniversary t-shirts in the venue.

Asia's first ever play-for-pay league opened in April 9, 1975 with a double header featuring pioneer teams Mariwasa Noritake versus Concepcion Carrier, and Toyota against U/Tex in the main game.
