UE controlled much of the contest, leading by as many as 14 points and holding the advantage for over 32 minutes. The Red Warriors were still ahead 54–47 entering the fourth quarter before Ateneo flipped the script with a 24–9 final frame.

Kymani Ladi earned Best Player of the Game honors, finishing with 22 points, eight rebounds, and one steal, while hitting crucial shots down the stretch. Divine Adili also made a major impact with eight points and a team-high 11 rebounds.

The Blue Eagles’ defense clamped down in the fourth quarter, limiting UE to just 9 points while forcing them into 3-of-27 (11%) three-point shooting for the entire game.

UE’s Wello Lingolingo provided an early spark with 8 points before being ejected at the 5:06 mark of the second quarter, a turning point that ultimately shifted momentum to Ateneo.

Precious Momowei was a bright spot for UE, tallying a double-double of 22 points and 15 rebounds, but Ateneo’s collective resolve proved too much in the end.

In the opener, San Beda Red University used a dominant third-quarter surge to break away from a tight contest, pulling off a 94–72 victory over the PCU-Dasmarinas.

PCU-D came out strong, leading for much of the first half and even holding a 40–36 advantage at halftime. However, San Beda erupted with a game-defining 35–11 third quarter to flip the contest on its head, building a lead that grew to as many as 28 points late in the game.

Bryan Sajonia led the way for the Red Lions, earning Player of the Game honors with 16 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals, while shooting 60% from the floor. Bismarck Lina also delivered a strong performance with 17 points and nine rebounds, while Nygel Gonzales contributed 13 points off the bench.

San Beda’s transition attack overwhelmed the Dolphins, generating 24 fast-break points and 21 points off turnovers. The Red Lions also showcased their depth, finishing with a commanding 43 bench points compared to PCU’s 17.

Ram Mesqueriola paced PCU-Dasmarinas in a losing effort, finishing with 18 points and four rebounds.

In the second game, De La Salle University imposed its will from start to finish to cruising to a dominant 104–75 win over St. Clare College of Caloocan.

La Salle immediately took control, leading by as many as 32 points while holding St. Clare scoreless for key stretches. They built a 21–12 advantage after the first quarter and extended it to 55–46 by halftime, never allowing the Saints to seriously threaten.

Mike Phillips turned in a monster double-double, finishing with 18 points, 21 rebounds, four assists, and two steals, while Earl Abadam shared Co-Best Player of the Game honors with 11 points, three rebounds, and a key defensive presence.

La Salle dominated the glass, outrebounding St. Clare 56–30, and punished their opponents inside with 56 points in the paint. They also produced a massive 58 bench points, showing their impressive depth.

For St. Clare, Moses Mandiria stood out again with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and a 63.6% field goal shooting percentage, continuing his strong individual campaign despite the loss.

In a UAAP-NCAA affair, Adamson University capitalized on a short-handed Mapua University side, running away with a convincing 93–74 victory.

Adamson set the tone early with a 26–10 first quarter, building a lead they never relinquished. Mapua briefly closed the gap in the second quarter, but Adamson pulled away for good with a 24–11 third-period burst.

Ced Manzano starred for the Falcons with 16 points, six rebounds, and two assists, shooting an impressive 70% from the floor. Manu Anabo also shined with 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists, providing all-around contributions on both ends.

Adamson displayed excellent balance, getting 43 points from their bench and dominating inside with 36 points in the paint.

Cyrus Nitura led Mapua with 19 points and five rebounds, while EJ Sapasap added 17 points on a highly efficient 77.8% shooting, but the absence of several Mapua stars, including Clint Escamis, was felt.

On Sunday, Adamson locked in another win, fending off a Lyceum of the Philippines University, 78–66, at the Perpetual Gym in Las Piñas.

It was a tight contest early with eight lead changes and five ties, but AdU clamped down defensively with a 16–5 third-quarter explosion to pull away for good.

AJ Fransman delivered 18 points, four rebounds, and three assists, while Alou Gaye posted a big double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Manzano contributed 10 points and 6 boards.

For Lyceum, Ato Barba fought valiantly with 17 points while Renz Villegas added 16.

Meanwhile, St. Clare added to their win total by defeating PCU-D, 80-71.

Lex Gazzingan led the Saints with 22 points, while Lee Desabelle registered a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds. Moses Mandiria contributed 5 points and 11 boards.

PCU-D struggled with only 10 players suited up, including Kingsley Anaba who played through illness.

La Salle also emerged victorious on Sunday by defeating Emilio Aguinaldo College, 100-82.

Jacob Cortez starred for DLSU with 19 points and six assists, while Mike Phillips dominated inside with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists.

For EAC, EJ Castillo made his first senior-level collegiate appearance, scoring 14 points and energizing the Generals.

Finally, College of Saint Benilde dominated University of Perpetual Help, 68-54.

Anton Eusebio and Irele Galas powered CSB with 16 points each. Jhomel Ancheta also chipped in 15 points and six assists, helping CSB control the pace from the very first quarter.

Despite a strong effort from Patrick Sleat (15 points), UPHSD struggled to find their rhythm offensively.
