MANILA, Philippines – Blackwater collected its first win in the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup.

This, as the Bossing leaned on a dominant third quarter en route to a 120-98 shellacking of NorthPort on Friday at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

The Bossing had a 40-27 third frame, headlined by Christian David who notched nine points and four rebounds, while Sedrick Barefield and Bryan Andrade contributed eight markers each in that period.

David concluded the match with 19 points on an efficient 8-of-12 clip, while Barefield top-scored for the Bossing with 20, and RK Ilagan delivered a 17-point, eight-assist showing.

Andrade closed out with 14 points and Richard Escoto had a decent 15-point output.

It was also Blackwater's way of bouncing back after absorbing defeats against Magnolia (84-106) and Converge (80-111).

Two players breached 20-point territory for NorthPort, with Joshua Munzon tallying 27 and William Navarro chipping in 24.

Blackwater eyes its second straight win against NLEX exactly a week from now, May 2, while NorthPort takes on Barangay Ginebra on Wednesday, April 30.
