MANILA, Philippines – PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial bared Wednesday that the 2025 All-Star event for this season is likely not pushing through.

Marcial said the league was in talks with an LGU, but the province isn't available with proposed dates, which were supposedly after the May elections.

"'Yung All-Star, malamang mawala, kasi 'yung kausap nating probinsiya hindi sila pwede sa mga dates na iyon (May 16-18). Eh kapag umabot tayo ng July, pa-finals na iyan, so most probably wala nang All-Star," said Marcial.

"Hindi sila pupuwede, 'yung kausap namin," he added.

Davao was the original host of the event on May 2-4, but "security concerns" prompted the league to postpone the festivities and find for another host.

Marcial assured that the league is committed to contributing to the Players' Trust Fund—the beneficiary of the All-Star Game.

"Pero yung para sa Players' Trust Fund ibibigay pa rin namin," he said.
