This, after the former Colegio de San Juan de Letran banger committed a breach of contract, the league and its commissioner Willie Marcial announced.
"Banned ang status niya (ngayon) sa PBA," said the commissioner in a statement on its website.
The 6-foot-6 Muyang is currently playing for the Pampanga Giant Lanterns in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL), and this is despite his contract with Phoenix not expiring until May 2025.
Marcial was said to have personally met with Muyang on Sunday, and the former has not discounted the possibility of the latter facing a possible lawsuit from Phoenix management for non-fulfillment of his live contract.
"Humingi siya ng pasensiya. Pero sabi ko kahit ganun, may kontrata siya sa Phoenix so dapat i-honor niya yun," said Marcial.
However, even in the event Phoenix and Muyang get to clear up their current situation, Marcial said that the NCAA champion still has to appeal his case before the PBA Board if he is to eye a return to the league.
"Kailangan umapela pa rin siya sa Board of Governors," said Marcial, who added how this case should also serve as notice to other players who may find themselves in the same situation in the future.
