MANILA, Philippines – Fresh from attending the PBA Golden Anniversary celebration on Friday night, Allan Caidic took time to watch Game 3 of the 2024-25 Premier Volleyball League Finals on Saturday at the PhilSports Arena.

He was present when the Pasig venue was jampacked with volleyball fans cheering for their respective teams.

Long queues transpired outside PhilSports earlier as fans eagerly waited for a chance to witness the Petro Gazz-Creamline rivalry chapter five.

It was an observation that did not go unnoticed by Caidic.

"It’s big. Talagang super ang support. Sana magtuloy-tuloy ‘yan. That’s good for volleyball competition. Ang ganda. I’m so impressed," Caidic told select reporters.

Caidic, a member of the PBA 50 Greatest Players roster, was in awe of the competitiveness of Petro Gazz and Creamline.

He might not be supporting any teams, but "The Triggerman" shared some names he admires.

That list included Jonah Sabete of Petro Gazz and good friends Michele Gumabao and Alyssa Valdez of Creamline.

Caidic also bared that he knows the owners of Petro Gazz.

"Sa teams, kahit sino eh. Pero sa player, I admire si [Jonah] Sabete. Sa kabila naman, kaibigan ko sina Michele [Gumabao] at si Alyssa [Valdez]," Caidic said.

"Dito sa Petro Gazz kasi, marami tayong kakilala dyan. ‘Yung mga owner, halos lahat kakilala ko. Some of them played for La Salle. I used to be with La Salle a few years back so naa-associate namin sila before," he added.

"Both teams are equally talented. Any team can win the championship kaya magandang laban ‘to."
