MANILA – The NLEX Road Warriors made the Tangos National High School in Navotas the latest stop of their “Dayo” program, conducting a basketball clinic for young athletes last March 14.

One hundred children took part in the clinic led by Coach Emman Monfort, NLEX Road Warriors head coach Jong Uichico, basketball legend Asi Taulava, and players Robbie Herndon and Jhan Nermal.

“Dayo” is an initiative that seeks to bring the Red Warriors closer to communities in the hopes of fostering a love for basketball and inspiring the next generation of athletes in Luzon.

The Road Warriors also took this opportunity to donate basketball equipment to support Tangos National High School's athletic program and help ensure the school's budding athletes have the resources to improve their game.

Navotas mayor John Rey Tiangco offered valuable advice to the participants on being a dedicated and disciplined athlete.

Kailangan araw-araw i-develop natin yung good habits. At pinaka-importante, huwag tayong magbibisyo," said  Tiangco.

For Nermal, the event was a heartwarming reminder of his journey as a young athlete.
