MANILA, Philippines – Justin Brownlee did not shy away from sharing what happened to Ginebra as they absorbed another defeat in the PBA Finals.

The Gin Kings were again the victims of the TNT Tropang Giga, a repeat of what happened last PBA Governors' Cup.

This time, they went up 3-2, but ultimately failed to get the job done, suffering an 83-87 heartbreak in Game 7 in extended period, Friday in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup Finals at the Araneta Coliseum.

Brownlee said the team is heartbroken after conceding the title.

"Everybody's down, everybody's hurt with the loss. Especially with the way we lost," said Brownlee.

The always-spectacular import though made his magic happen, sinking a triple to send the game to overtime at 79-all by the end of regulation.

But it wasn't enough, as they failed to answer back from TNT's rally late in the game, which came from the clutch baskets of Glenn Khobuntin and Calvin Oftana.

"Being up 3-2, we really felt we could have closed it out. But TNT is a good team, they got an incredible coach," said Brownlee, exclaiming praises for Chot Reyes. "Tonight, they were the better team."

Brownlee did his part despite having a thumb injury, firing 28 points while collecting 10 rebounds in the Game 7 loss.
