MANILA, Philippines – Barangay Ginebra needs to flush all emotions and shift its focus on the next match as the Gin Kings absorbed an 83-87 loss against TNT in Game 6 of the PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals at the Araneta Coliseum.

This was according to Scottie Thompson, saying that they "don't need to be sad" after the heartbreak.

Ginebra was so close to completing a comeback, knocking down what was once a 10-point cushion by the Tropang Giga midway through the fourth quarter.

It was Thompson who nailed a triple late in the game, trimming the lead down to two, 83-85. But after Rondae Hollis-Jefferson completely missed on the charity stripe, the Gin Kings failed to secure the defensive rebound, allowing the Tropa to regain another possession and give the TNT import another chance at the 15-foot-line.

Hollis-Jefferson then converted his freebies to seal a four-point lead for TNT, 83-87, which turned out to be the final score.

"No need to be sad," said the Ginebra ace. "There's one more game, move on and let's see what happens in Game 7."

Thompson had another chance at the four-point line to tie in the dying seconds, but it was way off.

"Gamble lang talaga 'yon. Ganda ng defense nila, credit sa TNT," Thompson said as he reflected on the last play.

The former league MVP vowed to give his all in the all-or-nothing match, set for Friday at the same Quezon City venue.

"All out na, do or die," declared Thompson.
