LOS ANGELES, United States - Philadelphia 76ers star Paul George will miss the remainder of the NBA regular season after receiving injections to treat injuries in his groin and knee, the club said on Monday.

George, 34, has not played since scoring seven points in a 30-minute outing against the Minnesota Timberwolves on March 4.

It marked the latest in a series of niggling injuries which have hampered George since he joined the Sixers last year on a four-year $212 million contract.

"Following consultations with specialists, as part of his treatment plan, Paul George has received injections in both his left adductor muscle and left knee," the Sixers announced on Monday.
