MANILA, Philippines – Ginebra big man Troy Rosario plans to play through his injury in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup Finals

Rosario, who hurt his ankle in the series-clinching game in the semifinals against NorthPort, admitted Friday that it has yet to fully recover.

Ginebra went on to absorb an 89-95 loss to the Tropang Giga in the Finals opener at the Mall of Asia Arena.

"Finals na, kailangang tiisin. Minutes ko, importante rin kasi kumbaga kasama na ako sa rotation," he said.

The 6-foot-6 Rosario shared that he spent the break before the championship round rehabilitating his sprained ankle.

"Kahapon lang," he answered when asked whether he has trained with the team. "Actually, whole week, nagre-rehab lang ako."

Rosario was held to only two rebounds in Game 1, but he still contributed eight points.

"Kung kaya namang tiisin, maglalaro pa rin ako. Medyo pigil lang 'yung galaw. At least nasa loob," the Gilas Pilipinas standout said.
