Helping Converge complete this, aside from Diallo, were Justin Arana’s 22-point, eight-rebound game, Jordan Heading’s 21 markers — 15 of which came from beyond the arc — and nine assists, as well as Schonny Winston (17 points), and Alec Stockton and Justine Baltazar who each scored 13.

It was only a 105-104 game in favor of the FiberXers early in the fourth, but Arana and Diallo put in the work for their squad, while an emphatic slam by Baltazar over Beau Belga at the 3:50 mark capped off their 17-to-4 run for a 122-108 lead.

This eventually was all Converge needed to fend off the Yeng Guiao-coached team, and they can close out the series on Friday, February 7, at 7:30 p.m. when they battle in Game 2 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.
