The Imus-SIS VBL Lady Magdalo and Cavite-TOL Lady Patriots face off at 8 p.m. on Wednesday in what promises to be a fierce encounter at the Enderun Gym.
The Lady Magdalo are looking to recover from a tough 60-108 loss to Discovery Perlas on January 26, which dropped their record to 1-1.
Led by the trio of Katherine Cantimbuhan, Annie Pamaran, and Nikka Villanueva, Imus-SIS VBL aims to avoid an upset against their winless provincial rivals.
Meanwhile, the Lady Patriots are still searching for their first victory after suffering back-to-back defeats — a narrow 54-51 loss to the New Zealand-Bluefire Valkyries on opening day, followed by a 70-57 setback against the Philippine Navy Lady Sailors on January 26.
Cavite-TOL will rely on La Salle sniper Luisa San Juan to regain her shooting touch and help them break into the win column.
In the curtain raiser, New Zealand-Bluefire and Centro Escolar University will open the gameday at 4 p.m. as both squads look to extend their winning streaks.
Meanwhile, Kalos PH and Go for Gold-backed Philippine Navy will aim for their third win in four games when they take on the winless Solar Home squad at 6 p.m.
WMPBL games air live on IBC 13 and stream via the league’s official Facebook page and YouTube channel.
